In Winsted, Connecticut, an adult black bear and cub were found trapped inside a car. The two bears were frantically moving around while the horn and radio blared. Meanwhile, another cub was seen running in distress near a nearby home. The owner of the car immediately called state environmental conservation police on July 15th for assistance. When the officers arrived, they opened a door and all three bears were able to escape into the safety of the surrounding woods. Unfortunately, the interior of the car was left in ruins after being completely destroyed by the bears. Photos and video taken by the owner of the car captured this wild encounter on their cell phone. It is suspected that the bears entered through an open door, but it remains unclear how the door closed behind them. This incident occurred in Winsted, located in the northwestern corner of Connecticut near Massachusetts.
