According to the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety, individuals are now able to contact 911 for emergency situations. The State 911 Department is currently looking into the source of the disturbance.

Earlier today, Boston's Police Commissioner Michael Cox urged citizens to contact their local police department directly for any necessary services. In case of medical or fire emergencies, the red light call boxes located on street corners are also available. Commissioner Cox reassured that all emergencies reported to one service would be efficiently communicated to the appropriate department. He emphasized the effectiveness of their well-coordinated agencies and their readiness to provide each other with full support.
