The highly anticipated heavyweight fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul has been rescheduled for November 15, after initially being planned for July 20. The venue for the main event will be at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, Texas. Fans can catch all the action on Netflix.
The fight had to be postponed due to Tyson experiencing an ulcer flare-up during his flight from Miami to Los Angeles last month. As a result, doctors advised him to ease up on his training for the upcoming match against Paul. Ultimately, both parties reached a mutual decision to delay the fight.
Despite the delay of our scheduled bout, I will soon be back in training. My gratitude goes out to the medical team who cared for me and to MVP, Netflix, and AT&T Stadium for their efforts in finding a suitable rescheduling date for all involved parties. And make no mistake, regardless of when we meet in the ring, Jake Paul will be knocked out. These words were stated by Tyson through a press release from Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).
Tyson, aged 57, has a thirty-year age difference with Paul. The former is a six-time world champion with a record of 50 wins and 6 losses, while the latter holds a record of 9 wins and 1 loss, having defeated combat sports veterans, YouTube personalities and former athletes, with six knockouts to his name. However, although Paul is known for his legitimate punching power in boxing circles, he is still considered younger compared to Tyson.
According to Nakisa Bidarian, the Co-Founder of Most Valuable Promotions, their team has diligently worked with all parties involved to reschedule this highly anticipated fight. This date ensures that both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will have enough time to prepare equally and also allows the event to take place at AT&T Stadium during the Cowboys season.
