Exciting news for music fans as the 2025 BottleRock Napa Valley lineup announces the highly-anticipated appearance of 4 Non Blondes, the acclaimed early '90s rock band behind the iconic hit "What's Up?" After a lengthy hiatus since their split in 1994, following the release of their sole album "Bigger, Better, Faster, More!", the band has finally decided to reunite. Lead singer and co-founder Linda Perry revealed on "The Allison Hagendorf Show" that it simply felt like the right time. According to Perry, she has been manifesting this reunion and sees 2025 as her year to shine. For her, this reunion also marks a significant personal milestone as she reflects on years of growth and success. With a sense of ownership and pride, Perry shared that she has been planting seeds throughout her journey and is finally witnessing them bloom into flourishing trees.

Perry, now 59, was a founding member of 4 Non Blondes in the late 1980s in San Francisco, alongside bassist Christa Hillhouse, guitarist Shaunna Hall and drummer Wanda Day. The band quickly rose to fame with the release of their debut album in 1992, which featured the hit song "What's Up?" However, tensions within the group led to Perry's departure in 1994.

Reflecting on her time with the band, she shared, "I had a hard time finding my musical direction at that point. It wasn't because of the other members; I simply hadn't figured out my own sound yet."
Despite disbanding, 4 Non Blondes briefly reunited in 2014 for a fundraiser for the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center. According to Perry, this reunion was sparked by an offer to perform at BottleRock Napa Valley.
"After receiving this offer," she explained, "I knew it was meant to be. I had put it out into the universe." Excited about the prospect of playing with her former bandmates again, she reached out to them and received a positive response.
"They were just as eager as I was," she said happily. "

I’m gonna go hang out with them in San Francisco, rehearse and just dick around.”
