Bachman-Turner Overdrive

After going on hiatus in 2005, the band reunited in 2009, touring and collaborating on a new album. In 2010, they performed at the Grey Cup halftime show in Edmonton. However, after Turner's amicable retirement in March 2018, they ceased touring. The classic Not Fragile line-up came together for the first time since 1991 on March 29, 2014 to commemorate Bachman-Turner Overdrive's induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. They also took part in a tribute performance of "Taking Care of Business." Sadly, drummer and co-founder Robbie Bachman passed away at age 69 on January 12, 2023, followed by his brother and rhythm guitarist Tim three months later on April 28, 2023.
On June 29, 2023, Randy Bachman and the new official Bachman-Turner Overdrive website revealed that BTO will be hitting the road again. Led by Randy Bachman himself, with occasional appearances from Fred Turner. The band also features Randy's son, Tal Bachman, and his solo touring crew (who also served as the backing band for Bachman & Turner).
