Great White's original vocalist, Jack Russell, passed away at the age of sixty-three.
A Facebook posting on the singer's profile revealed his passing.
The message started, "With immense sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved Jack Patrick Russell — father, husband, cousin, uncle, and friend," and continued, mentioning that the rock star "passed peacefully" with his family by his side. "Jack's humor, extraordinary zest for life, and unwavering contribution to rock and roll, where his legacy will endure forever, are what make him loved and remembered."

Russell's "incredible voice will live on forever," Great White wrote in a different post. "We will cherish all of those amazing years we spent together.  It was a privilege and joy to share the stage with him – many shows, many miles and maximum rock.”
