Boston Common Tree Light

Boston's annual holiday celebration, the 82nd annual Boston Common Tree Lighting, will take place on Thursday, December 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Boston Common. The event is hosted by Mayor Michelle Wu, in partnership with the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and title sponsor The Province of Nova Scotia. The evening will include a sampling village featuring photo-ops, giveaways, and refreshments from various companies (while supplies last). At approximately 8 p.m., Mayor Wu will be joined onstage by Santa Claus and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer for the lighting of the holiday lights throughout both parks. Additionally, after the celebration on Boston Common, Mayor Wu, Friends of the Public Garden, and Committee to Light Commonwealth Avenue Mall will come together to light up Commonwealth Avenue Mall.
