The 2025 Experience Hendrix Tour is sponsored by Marshall, Fender Musical Instruments and Dunlop. Marshall amps have long been associated with Jimi Hendrix and were his amplifiers of choice during his career. Fender is now celebrating the 70thanniversary of the Fender Stratocaster, the guitar most often associated with Jimi Hendrix. Dunlop makers of gear and accessories, recently launched line of Authentic Hendrix '68 Shrine Series of stomp boxes/effects pedals.
According to the event coordinators, the upcoming tour will offer a varied and high-profile roster for the coming year. This includes appearances by familiar names from the Experience Hendrix Tour, including Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Zakk Wylde (known for their contributions to bands such as Pantera, Black Label Society, and Ozzy Osbourne), Eric Johnson, as well as Devon Allman (of Allman Betts Family Revival), Samantha Fish, and Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram. Making his debut in 2025 is Marcus King, whose presence is bound to bring a vibrant and innovative flair to Hendrix's timeless catalog.
Mississippi-born blues guitar phenomenon Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram expressed his admiration for Jimi, who has greatly influenced his musical journey. Having won a Grammy Award and named Contemporary Blues Male Artist of the Year at last year's Blues Music Awards, he is thrilled to be joining the Experience Hendrix Tour in fall 2024. He eagerly anticipates performing alongside the Hendrix crew this spring as they take their sensational show to more cities across North America.
Not only has Samantha Fish been releasing solo albums since the age of 20, but she has also collaborated with fellow artists Cassie Taylor and Dani Wilde for the Girls with Guitars album in 2011 and joined forces with Jesse Dayton last year for Death Wish Blues. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including a Grammy nomination, Living Blues Award, Blues Music Award, Blues Blast Music Award, and 22 Independent Blues Awards. Additionally, her albums have reached #1 on both Billboard's Top Heatseekers and Top Blues Albums charts multiple times. Her live performances showcase her ability to seamlessly blend blues, rock, and soul, earning her the reputation as a true musical powerhouse. When speaking about her participation in Jimi Hendrix's music celebration event in 2024, Fish expressed her excitement for being part of such an incredible display of talent honoring the legendary musician's impact on generations of artists. She eagerly awaits what's in store for next year's event.
Originally from South Carolina, Marcus King started his musical journey as a child, playing alongside his father's band. His distinct style of "soul-infused psychedelic Southern Rock" caught the attention of Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys, who produced and released King's debut solo album El Dorado in 2020. With the release of this album, King's career took off, amassing millions of streams and earning him a Grammy nomination. He has since dropped two more albums, including this year's Mood Swings, which garnered high praise from publications like Rolling Stone and No Depression. Reflecting on his inspiration for his music, King shared, "I gravitated towards Hendrix's ferocity and aggression - the way he used his instrument as his voice to channel all of his emotions and struggles. It is both an honor and a tribute to pay homage to such a legend who played a pivotal role in shaping my musical identity."
Devon Allman, a multitalented musician known for his skills as a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, has been active in the music industry since the 1990s. He has been a part of various bands such as Honeytribe and Royal Southern Brotherhood, and also pursued a solo career. In 2018, he joined forces with Duane Betts to form The Allman Betts Band. Interestingly, Devon and Duane share more than just a love for music - their fathers are none other than the iconic members of The Allman Brothers Band, Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts. Perhaps it was destiny that brought them together to pay tribute to Jimi Hendrix at the 1970 Atlanta International Pop Festival where their fathers performed alongside the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Devon's musical style is an eclectic mix of genres ranging from Southern Rock to soul and blues, making him the perfect candidate for honoring Hendrix's music in a live setting. "I am truly excited about celebrating the timeless, otherworldly music of Jimi Hendrix," expressed Devon enthusiastically. "His unique singing voice has been just as influential on my own musical journey as his mesmerizing guitar playing. Get ready for an out-of-this
Kenny Wayne Shepherd has been lending his soulful and flawless guitar skills to the Experience Hendrix Tour for several years now. As a five-time Grammy nominee and two-time Billboard Music Award winner, he shared, "It's an honor to be back on the Experience Hendrix Tour. This tour brings together musicians from various genres to pay tribute to the legendary Jimi Hendrix. The diverse lineup each year reflects the extensive impact of Jimi's music."
Other artists joining the 2025 Experience Hendrix Tour include Ally Venable, known for her Texas blues sound, as well as Chuck Campbell and Calvin Cooke of the Slide Brothers. Vocalist Noah Hunt and bassist Kevin McCormick from the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band will also be a part of the lineup, along with Mato Nanji of Indigenous, rising blues guitar talent Mathias Lattin, Brazilian musician Artur Menezes, vocalists Dylan Triplett and Henri Brown, and legendary drummer Chris Layton of Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble.
